Assuming it will be free (covered by taxes so I don't have to pay) then I want to live in Finland just for the privilege (as I see it) of high speed connectivity. Wow.

Hey Shane, thanks for the heads up on my blog post. The original author would be my brother, the article from our blog wearenotfreelancers.co.za; so it's not a train smash, however I will mention his name so that people don't get the wrong impression.

Hi Shane, There seems to me to be an inextricable link between anthropology and coaching and or executive coaching. Particularly, when its comes to integral coaching. In integral coaching we examine the simulataneity of a minimum of 4 perspectives arising within the thought perspectives or experience of any client. That is to say, behaviours, intentions, cultures and systems. See a place for yourself here? Edith

Hey man, Like your posts... Some great thoughts. I have actually used the Kindle. It is pretty neat, a bit klunky but great in it's concept. I am more of a new Iphone fan (apart from the battery life and the dodgy kill-switch) As for second life - I have had some interesting convo's with a swiss academic on it. I don't know if I am a fan or just think it is a bit over-hyped. The jury is still out in my head :)
Cheers,
Jeremy

Fast Internet access becomes a legal right in Finland

SOURCE

Finland has become the first country in the world to declare broadband Internet access a legal right.

Starting in July, telecommunication companies in the northern European nation will be required to provide all 5.2 million citizens with Internet connection that runs at speeds of at least 1 megabit per second.

The one-megabit mandate, however, is simply an intermediary step,… Continue

Meteor crash caught on camera

Because advertising is about telling stories, I give you a recent story of remarkable journalism. A popular viral youtube video today.

Meteor crash caught on camera

In retrospect to Dan Gilmore talking about amateur (open source) journalism, this is an interesting testament to the power of the average fool in the street having great collective power.

Along a different wavelength again, I'd like to share some lyrics to a song I'll be performing soon. The tangent won't come immediately, but I think that all of us can benefit and in this social collaboration anology. A theme song for Huddlemind itself? :P

Enjoy

Facebook awarded $873 million in spam case

Facebook has been awarded $873 million in damages against a Canadian man accused of sending spam messages to its members.

The default judgment was issued in federal court in San Jose, Calif., on Friday against Adam Guerbuez, of Montreal, and his company, Atlantis Blue Capital. The ruling also forbids Guerbuez from using Facebook or interacting with its members ever again.

Facebook doesn't expect to necessarily collect the money because "it's unlikely that Geurbez and Atlantis Blue Capital coul… Continue

China Bought One Third of All Chips Last Year

Electronics manufacturers in the Chinese market consumed more than one-third of semiconductors produced globally for the first time ever, industry-focused advisor PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) said.

According to China's Impact on the Semiconductor Industry: 2008 Update, a PwC annual review of the semiconductor industry in China, the nation has in 2007 become the dominant consumer of semiconductors, with the total consumption estimated at US$88 billion in 2007, driven largely by China's growth in… Continue
