I love it too, clear and simple description of marketing with a dash of humor! I was shown this in a Bioentrepreneurship session several months ago - no price tag attached, just use it wisely :)

New Venture Creation

I spent a day and a half attending a workshop on ‘New Venture Creation‘ - presented by Stephan Lemprecht of Venture Solutions…

The name ‘Stephan Lemprecht’ sounded familiar, but I couldn’t place my finger on where I’d come across it before..However, I had a positive association with the name, so I figured the workshop would be worth attending..

So off I went to the University of the Western Cape. On my arrival I met up with my fellow peers for tea and coffee before the day’s program kicked off… Continue

Circus Marketing

Circus.jpg

“If the circus is coming to town and you paint a sign saying ‘circus coming to the Fairground Saturday’, that’s advertising.

If you put the sign on the back of an elephant and walk it into town, that’s promotion.

If the elephant walks through the mayor’s flower bed, that’s publicity.

And if you get the mayor to lau… Continue

My First Blog.....

Yes, I have FINALY decided to be active on my blog...I understand the importance and power of blogging and how effective it can be - so why has it taken me soo long to sit down and DEDICATE my time to blogging?

Firstly, it was exactly that, DEDICATION. I did not prioritize blogging and thus I did not DEDICATE time out of my day to be active on my blog equitye11even. I have been wanting to have an active blog, but because of my insanely busy life… Continue

Hi Justin
Thanks for the response. I do hope we can talk some more. I would like to hear your ideas on what can we do different to improve the education of our youth. It seems to me the old ways are not working anymore.
Kind regards
Bob

Hi Justin,
Thanks for linking up. To answer your question, I haven't been directly involved with biotechnology for more than 20 years now. I did my MSc in biotechnology at WITS in 1986-87, and then started a PhD in molecular biology in the Heamatology department of the WITS medical schooll. But I dropped out after about 18 months to go into the IT industry, which is what I've been doing for the past 20 years. Earlier this year, I made another career transition - I sold my shares in my IT company, and launched my new career as a Career-Creativity coach.

You can see what I'm about at http://www.zestware.com. It's still a work in progress, as I'm trying to build it into a useful and well-organized career-creative resource-base, but it should give you a fair idea.

Regards and all the best
Gopal
