I think the key is to involve them; to start conversations with them that they buy into. After all, the market for something to believe in is infinite.

Pleasure! I enjoyed doing it and have learnt an enormous amount from thinking about it. The trick is to put it into practice.

Hi Elaine, nice read. Would you kindly extend all the modules in your programmes by a month each please - the delegates need more time to spend on curiosity :) jokes. A rushed job always has a room for more thoroughness.

How to Create a Curious State of Being Part 2

Closing the door on creativity and diversity in the name of speed also poses a threat to businesses constantly on the look out for the next competitive advantage in the 21st Century. If you aren’t being curious, you can be sure that somewhere out there someone else is at your expense.

Answers don’t change the world, questions do

The world we now operate in is now so full of uncertainty and change that it is impossible for anyone in business to hold all the answers. And even if you have… Continue

How to Create a Curious State of Being

Agility is being viewed as a critical skill for 21st Century Leaders. One of the components that helps create an agile mind and attitude is curiosity. But how exactly does one go about creating a curious state? Here are three useful mantras which might enable your journey of discovery – one, be fascinated by your own ignorance; two, answers don’t change the world, questions do; and three, go slow to go fast.

Be fascinated by your own ignorance

The need for human advancement is the main catalyst behind all the greatest feats man has achieved since the dawn of the knowledge era and curiosity has without doubt played a great role in the entire unfolding of events!

It is rightfully said that: Secrets belong to the Curious...or the ever inquisitive mind!

Cheers!

Awesome. Please bring meat, a salad, drinks, snacks and a gift for your hosts ;) Actually closer to nothing, check with the W - she has the better idea for these things. I make the fire. And I already have stuff to burn.

I went by the name Tessa Engelbrecht, back then ... lived down the road from you in Dan Pienaar Drive ... went to Eunice ... your little sister was my skivvy in Matric ... I was also a whole lot skinnier when you knew me - so don't be misled by my photograph [in which I am 8 months pregnant]! We were also in touch for a short while when you studied at WITS. I heard about your 1st anthology of poetry being published and tried to get a copy from the publishers, but it was all sold out - well done, you. I also heard that you were teaching poetry to the inmates at Leeukop - and was so not surprised. Delighted to have found you again and to see what interesting things you've done in your career, Elaine - I just knew you would be oh-so dynamic and diverse!
