Has the recession affected what people ask for in their coaching? Have people tended to focus less on purpose and more on survival?

ROI of Executive Coaching: The Value And Power Of Making Dreams Come True.

I am often asked about the ROI of Executive Coaching. I sometimes answer this question in different ways, depending on who is asking. Sometimes I quote a slowly growing body of research and sometimes I add anecdotal evidence. Sometimes I ask a question in return. “What is the highest cost of a poor decision in your organisation and what if Executive Coaching could reduce that possibility?” “What would the value of coaching be to you in that instance?

Today I would like to use a measure which I… Continue

The Issue Buster by Steven Saunders - with thanks to Salim who sent it to me.

Leadership Coaching Tip
The Issue Buster
Steven Saunders
THE ISSUE BUSTER is a powerful tool for working with both problems and goals:

All decision-making and innovation comes from within human minds. It makes sense to understand how to make the most of our powerful natural resource: the mind! One way this can be done is through using simple patterns of six questions with pauses between these sets of six of questions. These are the stages of an emergent process called “The Issue Buster” that re… Continue

Sharing the Passion - Conversations with Coaches - Edited by Min McLoughlin with a chapter written by Edith Sievers on Systemic Executive Coaching

Sharing the Passion - Conversations with Coaches You may have heard of coaching, already have a coach, be using a coaching methodology in your business or practice, be a coach yourself -- or even think it’s another ‘flavour of the day’ that will come and go. W… Continue

Exec Ed Blog platform - Congratulations

Time stood still for me yesterday as I explored the concept of "Migrating the Labyrinth" an alternative to "The Glass Ceiling" women like Alice Heagly say. My interest in what makes women successful in business (or not) was indulged by all the fascinating places I visited. HBR ideas casts, TED video's - Isabella Allende's feminist roots, Sophia Loren's deportment! What a TREAT. Well done to everyone!! Business Blog's rock.

So all of this inspiration got me thinking about a question I have been… Continue

Interesting.
You have much highlighted the topic of the book :)
As such, a social anthropologists commentary on the changes in behaviour & interaction, psychology etc in light of recent technology advances. In short.
I have the strange feeling that this may be a more useful group that I anticipated! Quite keen to jump in the middle and learn.

Good day!
Simply learning as much as I can under Dave's wing. I'm slowly writing an anthropology book in between Huddlemind contributions driven by my own silly interests, otherwise I'm here to interact, learn, contribute and change as much as I can from anyone that has the lessons to give :)
