Has the recession affected what people ask for in their coaching? Have people tended to focus less on purpose and more on survival?

Hi Ross, I think it would be great to share what is happening in SA and Australia and would be keen to be part of a dialogue. Not sure if others feel the same..... It would be useful to hear more of what you have in mind. My background is HR and I have been formally coaching since 2005. I have completed a PCC accredited course through the University of Cape Town's Graduate Business School.

Hello folks,
I am keen to have conversations about executive coaching in South Africa and some of our developments in Australia. My own background is as a clinical psychologist specialising in trauma management before spending the last 10 years in execuitve education with Melbourne Business school.

Ever considered the thought that we may be living as one body? Check out the possibility/probability of the sphere of human thought in the just addes video of Integral Conciousness. Where do we see ourselves in all of this? No less, where do we see our clients? Should and does this impact our way of working with them?

Have you ever noticed how some people seem to "live a short distance from their bodies". As coaches we can sometimes get drawn into the ''very cerebal lives' of our clients. I was reminded this week, that the body is actually where we live although many of of treat our bodies as if there were merely there to carry our heads from meeting to meeting. Working with the body's of our clients can be quite simple. So here is my lazer practice of the week. Ask clients to take pause for a minute before entering a meeting and breath 3 deep breaths, making sure that they pull the breath passed the solar plexus. Simple yet effective! Watch this space for more lazer practices, and add some of your own.
